Capstone Design Fair in Korea - Expenses provided!!

Purdue has been invited to send one undergraduate student and one faculty member to the International Session of the Capstone Design Fair at the Engineering Education Festival (E2Festa), November 10-11, 2016  in Ilsan, Korea. The organizers of the meeting will cover the airfare (round trip between Chicago and Incheon, economy class) and room and board, for one student and one faculty, during their stay in Korea. Support for local expenses (but not airfare), may be available for additional attendees.  In 2015, Senior Marisa Henry (EEE), and Prof. Venkatesh Merwade represented Purdue.

The Capstone Design Fair is a major featured event in this year's E2Festa,  and includes an International Session where capstone design products from various countries around the world are presented for competition.   One main purpose of the international session is to provide students with opportunities for intercultural peer learning.  Design works from over 100 universities will be displayed for exhibition.

Interested faculty or students should send a brief (1 paragraph to 1 page) statement of interest to by September 28, 5:00pm.  This statement should include: 1) names and affiliations of the student and faculty member who would like to attend, 2) a description of the capstone design project that they would be presenting, and 3) an explanation for why this team would like to represent Purdue at this event. A team will be selected for this opportunity no later than October 4.
